We visit the Holy Land in words and pictures and tune in to the diversity of beliefs, the sense of belonging, power and myths that characterize Israel today and that have roots far back in time. The starting point will be modern Israel, its history and its many voices as well as its relationship with the outside world. We take a closer look at recent years’ development, including the threat scenario in the Middle East. Along the way, we incorporate the course of history as it has left its mark in the cultural evolution and identify some of the core narratives, reproduced in art, and in which Jerusalem occupies a key position. We will visit the eternal city and try to understand its deeper significance, geopolitical, historical, spiritual … What kind of covenant did the Jews make with Yahweh, and which greatly conditions their very special relationship with Israel and notably Jerusalem? And how does this covenant reflect in the biblical end-time prophecies with the triumph of victory? Movie footage with interviews etc. from my upcoming movie: The Land will be featured during the course. Come with open mind and love in your heart.
